After more than three years as the head of unit for translation and interpretation in Nordic Council of Ministers in Copenhagen I am now back in the Northern Jutland working as a Finnish freelance interpreter and translator. I translate from Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian, Swedish) and English into Finnish and interpret between Finnish and Scandinavian languages or English.

I studied in Finland and have a Master’s degree in interpreting and translating from the University of Joensuu, Savonlinna School of Translation Studies (1992), but I have been living in Denmark and Sweden since 1995.

I have been working as an interpreter for instance at various ministerial, parliamentary and other political meetings as well as various trade union meetings and conferences on different subjects.

During the years I have also translated plenty of pages into and from Finnish, mostly nonfiction, scientific and political texts.

I have a large network of excellent interpreters in various language combinations and would be happy to help you to organize simultaneous interpreting. I also know several good suppliers of conference interpreting facilities in all Nordic countries.
